Catchword for “stinkin’ thinkin’”
Filed Under:
Part of Speechn.
Quotation: You also must accept that the enemies of private property, the radical environmental left, pretty much control Democrat policy. As the party of big, intrusive, regulatory government, Democrats regard businesses as the problem, not the solution, to almost anything. Businesses exist, seemingly, for tax revenue and social engineering. I can only hope for an intervention by those close to him, to correct what I call “stinkin’ thinkin’“.

Comments:
This is an altered definition for “Stinkin’ Thinkin’”. The phrase originated in Alcoholics Anonymous as a way to describe lines of thought that were likely to lead a person back to drinking. This supposedly ‘new’ defintion makes no sense.

Keep in mind that we're interested in terms that are not well-covered in mainstream dictionaries, or not covered at all. A mass of unexamined Google hits counts for nothing, but an early use of the term you've found in a book or periodical is very useful. A term does not have to be new to be recorded here, it merely needs to be worthy of more attention.
